Fashion Stop-Motion Commercial

Hey guys! So for my Media Design class, I had to create a 30-second commercial supporting an in-school activity. This is what I created. This is my first time ever making any sort of video. For being completely unfamiliar with my new camera and movie editing system, I think I did a fairly good job executing my idea. I really wouldn't change a thing. This video originally contained 94 video segments that I individually cropped and sped up to fit in the time limit and with the music. I had to crop it down to about 60 video segments because of time restrictions. Overall, this took me about 12 hours to completely finish.

If you like it please share it with your facebook, twitter, tumblr...any social media! I put a lot of hard work into it and I would really like it to reach a large audience!

P.S. I now have a youtube. I may possibly start creating other fashion related stop-motions on there. Subscribe to my channel to stay updated! love you all :)

The Most Beautiful Music in the World

I find often times, what music you listen to says a lot about your character. What the music I listen to says about me, I'm not quite sure. But, I do know that every song listed here is absolutely stunning and should be given the chance of becoming one of your favorite songs as well. If you are to choose which music video to watch, may I direct you to "Ride" by Lana Del Rey. It is not as much of a music video as it is an artistic compilation of cinematography and poetic words, then followed by the actual song. It really is an experience in itself and it's one that I keep going back to.
Also, I have been absolutely obsessed with Nick Drake. Although he has passed, I think his music has a beauty that transcends time. Literally my favorite 1970s folk artist (next to Vashti Bunyan). If you like Nick Drake, I suggest you listen to his song "Pink Moon" because that is also one of my favorites.

If you have any favorite artists or songs that are similar to these, feel free to let me know! I'm constantly on the hunt for new music.

Some Blog Changes

As you may have noticed, there is now an Instagram tab added to the top of my blog! Now, all of my photos taken on Instagram will all appear under this tab, so even when I do not upload a blog post there will always be new pictures being added!

I believe that by adding this tab, you will get a more accurate view into my everyday life! I do use my Instagram as somewhat of a fashion diary, along with nature photography and little snippets of my everyday life.

Here are some of the photos I took for a recent Photography project!
If you guys would like me to also connect my twitter so that my tweets are also sent to my blog, let me know! And don't forget to check back often to see what's going on in my everyday life!

If you have an Instagram, Follow me!!

Cute DIY Pencil Bags!

As much as I hate to admit it, my senior year is quickly approaching. Every year I like to add a little bit of customization to my school supplies, because where is the fun in having the same things as everyone else?! I made my own pencil bag(s) this year (as I do every year). If you want I can do an actual tutorial on how to make them. I mean, all you really need to know how to do is sew in a straight like and put in a zipper. The tribal print one started as just plain black fabric. I added multiple trims that continue to the other side to add the tribal feel and the inside is a blue tie-dye. The floral one has a cute green zipper and coral tie-dye on the inside. :) Although, I'm not looking forward to the school year, I can still look forward to using these cute little bags!

Music Inspiration: The Lion's Roar

Personally, I often find that I turn to music for fashion/art inspiration. Not only are the lyrics and overall sound of music inspiring, but also the cinematography that accompanies it. Recently, I have been completely obsessed with First Aid Kit. The sound of their music is so calming and really just makes me want to hike on some deserted trail and embrace nature. Hopefully, this song and music video will help inspire your fall wardrobe and encourage you to check out more of their music because it truly is amazing and has certainly inspired me.

My Current Music Obsession: First Aid Kit

I recently stumbled upon this swedish duo and instantly fell in love. I really feel like they captured their enchanting, youthful spirit in their folk music while still maintaining a mature aura. This is one of my favorite songs by them at the moment. I often find  myself having their music playing on a loop solely because it is so easy to become entranced by their perfectly harmonious voices, especially at night. If you find that you too enjoy them, may I suggest that you take a look at their other songs "Emmylou" and "The Lion's Roar". Those are just a few of my favorites.
